Hosted by Emmy award winner and former NBC News correspondent John Holden, EARTH takes its audience around the globe providing an in-depth look at innovative solutions designed to promote the planet’s health. For this episode titled “Today’s Eco-Friendly Apparel”, the EARTH team visited NILIT facilities in Israel and the USA to learn more about the company’s environmentally responsible premium Nylon 6.6 operations and products. NILIT has the broadest portfolio of sustainable Nylon products and the company’s R&D efforts are focused on creating additional environmentally responsible premium Nylon products for the Sensil® family of sustainable yarns and fabrics. These new Sensil® products will address resource conservation, pollution elimination, biodegradability, and additional recycled inputs. New products will be launched soon.

Environmentally responsible and community considerate operations are also key to NILIT’s comprehensive sustainability strategy. On the EARTH episode, John Holden tours the new clean energy co-generation plant at the Israel facility that not only powers NILIT’s operations but provides energy to the surrounding community. NILIT’s move to cleaner energy will reduce the company’s CO2 emissions by 40% and eliminate any emissions of toxic gases.
