A Message to Our Customers
September 15, 2020
As concerns about COVID-19 persist, we remain committed to the comprehensive safety precautions we put in place months ago to protect our associates, customers, and communities whose health and safety are our top priority.
COVID-19 continues to constrain the global market place and regulators may be using lockdowns as a method to control the spread. However, NILIT facilities in Israel, Brazil, the USA, and China remain open and completely operational in continuous support of our customers around the world. We stand ready to service the demand for premium, sustainable Nylon now and as the textile and apparel markets recover.
We are truly thankful for your partnership and look forward to continuing to work together as we emerge from this unprecedented period.
NILIT® Featured on EARTH with John Holden Show
Company profiled on new “Today’s Eco-Friendly Apparel” episode airing
Sunday, September 6, 5:00 PM EDT on Fox Business News
Migdal Haemek, Israel—September 2, 2020. NILIT will be featured in this weekend’s episode of EARTH with John Holden. Hosted by Emmy award winner and former NBC News correspondent John Holden, EARTH takes its audience around the globe providing an in-depth look at innovative solutions designed to promote the planet’s health. For this episode titled "Today's Eco-Friendly Apparel", the EARTH team visited NILIT facilities in Israel and the USA to learn more about the company’s environmentally responsible premium Nylon 6.6 operations and products. Tune in Sunday, September 6 at 5:00 PM EDT on the Fox Business Network.
"I believe that Nylon is the most sustainable synthetic fiber that exists today," said Ilan Melamed, NILIT's General Manager, in the episode. “Our mission at NILIT is to help influence the apparel world to use more sustainable products in more responsible ways.” In support of this mission, Melamed confirmed that every NILIT initiative is connected to sustainability.
NILIT has the broadest portfolio of sustainable Nylon products and the company’s R&D efforts are focused on creating additional environmentally responsible premium Nylon products for the Sensil® family of sustainable yarns and fabrics. These new Sensil® products will address resource conservation, pollution elimination, biodegradability, and additional recycled inputs. New products will be launched soon.
“Premium apparel purchasers expect long-lasting quality and performance from their clothing,” said Sagee Aran, Head of Global Marketing. “But now these conscious consumers also want to know that their apparel is made with sustainable fabrics and produced in a responsible manner.”
Environmentally responsible and community considerate operations are also key to NILIT’s comprehensive sustainability strategy. On the EARTH episode, John Holden tours the new clean energy co-generation plant at the Israel facility that not only powers NILIT's operations but provides energy to the surrounding community. NILIT’s move to cleaner energy will reduce the company’s CO2 emissions by 40% and eliminate any emissions of toxic gases.
NILIT® is a leading global producer of premium, sustainable Nylon 6.6 fashion and performance fibers. The company, founded in Israel in 1974, has four vertically integrated manufacturing facilities and global offices serving its customer base in EMEA, Asia, LATAM and North America.
